SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 10

I'm flying out to San Diego in the morning.  I'll be at the Viper Comics Booth (#1903) for most of the time, saying "Hi!" and signing my books.  Swing on by and get a look at my latest comics that will get a sneak SDCC10 preview release.  These books include ODD RODS and HERO PETZ; as well as BATTLE SMASH vs. THE SAUCERMEN FROM VENUS. Plus you can check out the other new books from Viper like Hell House, Stu Bear in the 25th Century and some extra goodies.

BATTLE SMASH REVIEWS

WOW!  I get sitting at my desk, working and preparing for SDCC10, the next time I look up weeks have passed!

But in fairness, it has been a busy few weeks.  Getting books ready that I'm either writing, editing, or just steering through the various departments over at Viper Comics.  However, while I was gone from the updates here, things have been ticking along and a bunch of advanced reviews have come in for Battle Smash vs. The Saucermen from Venus.

Check them out here:

“…solid storytelling, a rollicking pace, and a fun, self-deprecating charm, Battle Smash vs. The Saucermen from Venus is a delightful action-comedy that will remind you of everything that was good about Saturday mornings…”

BROKEN FRONTIER – Jason Wilkins

“…more Whacks!, Whams!, and Smak!’s than a 1960’s Batman serial…”

LOOOOOOOOONG WEEKEND...

...and not in an awesome, relaxing by a pool, drinking something alcoholic... or fruity... or alcoholically fruity.

Hit Chiller Con in New Jersey this past weekend.  A long drive up on Friday (seeing more of Washington DC... a lot slower than I woulda liked, en route) meant I missed the first day/evening of the con.  Saturday I did make it, and then a brief hour at the con on Sunday before hitting the road again to drive home.

The rolling thunderstorm that ended my journey to the con was just the bleak icing on a very long, stressful and tiring journey.

However, those specific dark clouds did come with a VERY bright silver-lining.  One of the AWESOME readers we have at Luci Phurr's Imps decided to sit down, write, practice, sing into a video camera and then post on Youtube, a song she composed based on one of the storylines we've just finished.  You can check it out here...

Let's just say I (and the whole Luci Phurr team) was blown away.
