RAQs

OK, truth be told, I don't have that many questions that I get asked frequently, so it seemed a little redundant to have a FAQ Page.  I do however get asked questions at random.  As a result, I'm proud to present…

Randomly Asked Questions

Could your wife really kick my ass?

Probably. But she’s really very nice. As long as you stay out of the bedding plants.

Will you sign my comic?

Sure. Keep an eye out for the places I’m gonna be and if you can, pop along and I’ll be happy to sign anything you put in front of me. Wait… I’ve just been told by my wife that I should have said I will sign anything you put in front of me EXCEPT blank checks (cheques if you live in England). Additionally, while I'm happy to sign anything, you might want to make sure it's something I actually wrote.

Picard or Kirk?

Despite his double-drop-kick charm, I gotta go with my fellow Yorkshireman. Picard.

Are you English or American?

The previous question should be a clue. If not, check out my Bio.

What are you working on next?

I only really put that info out there once I’m sure the thing is definitely going to happen. Rest assured I do have several projects in various stages, and as soon as I can, I’ll post new info here. Some are very exciting and I look forward to being able to share the news. In the meatime, check out Amazon.com or the store section of your preferred digital reader…. you can find some of my existing work there.  And just to show how much I love you guys, click the Reading Room link and you can even read a few of my short stories for free.

Where can I find the latest news about what you’re working on?

Check the blog entries on the Home Page. Though after a while, those get bumped to an archive page.  Regardless, this is the place.  And if you're unsure, drop me a message via the Contact Page.

Additionally, if you're a Convention organizer and would like me at your event, same Contact Page.

How can I get to do what you do?

Work hard, stay in school, say no to drugs and be lucky.

Favorite Cheese/danish/wine?

Honestly, while I've admittedly seen Chocolate Wine, I don't think I've seen Cheese Danish Wine.  Still, I suppose when you're living up in that Scandanavian part of the world, you have very long nights…. making weird wine flavors is as good a way to kill time as any.  That there's more than one variety of Cheese Danish Wine and thus I might actually have a favorite, is frankly the most surprising part of this whole question.

Dogs or cats?

Depends on the wine.  Dogs with a Red, Cats with White.

Favourite pizza topping?

Steak.  That is not a silly answer.  Ask my wife, she WILL confirm that given a choice, a slab of medium rare cow would be my garnish of choice on every meal.

What inspired the concept for Cemetery Street?

I did a book called "Orpheus" with Viper Comics.  It has some nudity in it and a colleague who shall remain nameless (Courtney Huddleston) referred to it as my "Penis Book."  After lots of this (which was mildly amusing at first, but by the 76th time, it was getting a tad old) I decided, "Right, I'll show you!  I'll do a comic strip that WILL have a penis character in it."

This has probably ruined Booo for everyone now.

Are the characters based (no matter how loosely) on anyone you know?

Yes.

Just how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Given the complete lack of opposable thumbs, I think it's cruel to entertain such questions.

If a tree falls in the forest and smushes Phillip, would anyone care?

Apparently a lot more than if said tree fell on the Panda David Caruso.

What kind of tea is Phillip, apart from rude and snarky?

Mrs. Miggins Morning Chai Black Tea Special.

What is your favourite season of the year?

Cumin.

What is your favourite holiday?

The original one, directed by George Cukor starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn.

Who is your idol?

I don't have any idols.  Idols belong in museums.

What is the meaning of life?

The love you take is equal to the love you make.
